I was asked the other day on an interview (which you can find here)

“What are the 3 most important things that someone needs to focus on to maintain clarity and focus?”

Or words to that effect…

And here’s my answer

1. Drink water to maintain clarity and focus

Find out how much water you need to drink a day, and hit that amount.

Don’t wait till 8 pm in the evening, and then down it all just before bed.

Do it the other way around, get up in the morning and drink plenty, and then sip throughout the day.

Stay hydrated – it’s sooo important!

2. Do a thing that I call the ‘mind dump’.

There’s some software I use called WorkFlowy which is free (sign up here).

They will try and get you to upgrade, but you can remain on the free package.

It is terrific for just getting everything out of your head and dumping it down.

I definitely recommend doing it on a Friday or the end of your week so you can then map out the following week.

This will then give you mental free space and quality time with yourself and your family over the weekend.

So do a mind dump.

3. Have a simple checklist to keep you on track.

This is important because what happens is that in one second, you can think right, I’m going to do that and then 10 seconds later you’ve got distracted.

Then you end up down a rabbit hole totally distracted while some real basic things to help keep your mind in a strong palace get overlooked.

I think overstimulation is a huge, huge problem at the moment as well as being distracted.

So having a little checklist will help you develop some really simple daily habits that’ll help you stay focused and on track.

These are really simple tasks.

I know you might want to completely change your life in your business in one minute, but it doesn’t work like that.

Start off with simple tasks that you can do over a long period of time, right so you can build momentum, and then maintain that momentum.

So my 3 tips are: drink more water, do a mind dump and download the checklist.

Really simple.

From the morning to the evening.

These 3 things will help you stay on track.
